On episode 2 of the IYE Music podcast, Ady Hanson interviewed Silvi as he shined a light on her music so far.
Despite having only played her first live show just over a year ago in February 2022, SILVI has made great strides in just over twelve months. That's thanks in no small part to being the owner of a voice that's so powerful and emotive it stops you in your tracks.
Within her first year of live shows, Scottish singer, songwriter and spoken word artist SILVI has headlined the iconic King Tuts in Glasgow and sold out Sneaky Pete's in Edinburgh, starred in a BBC iPlayer documentary about the grassroots music scene in West Lothian and had her single "Burning" crowned ‘Song Of The Year’ at the Weekender Awards, as well as played throughout ZARA stores across the world and featured on BBC One's Football Focus.
So far in 2023, Silvi has showcased as a Wide Days artist and has sold out 2 more headline shows in Aberdeen and Glasgow. As well as Scottish appearances, Silvi is headlining The Sessions festival in Manchester after being on the bill for this year's Stockton Calling festival and 'Tunespotting' in Oxford's The Bullingdon. Silvi showcased virtually in Mexico to an online audience of 1.6 million at Festival Marvin Gateway. Her latest release “Don’t wanna love again” was BBC radio Scotland’s track of the week in May.
